Contribution analysis
/Contribution analysis is a way to show the impact or progress of an activity or piece of work by focusing on how things that are more easy to measure ‘contribute’ to longer term, or higher-level outcomes.
It can be hard to show how work at a local, or community, level helps reduce health inequality or improves environmental sustainability. However, it is easier to measure the benefits to those who directly participate in your group’s activities.
Contribution analysis is a way of modelling how relatively local, or immediate, impact leads to positive change at a societal level. It does this by applying tried and tested results measured from other data, in order to show the likelihood that your work will contribute in a similar way.
