Scotland's Climate Assembly & Civic Charter on Climate

Grounded in Scotland's Climate Change Act (2019), Scotland’s Climate Assembly brought a group of people together who were broadly representative of the Scottish population. These Assembly Members took on the task of learning about, discussing and making recommendations on how we can best tackle climate change.

The assembly's Recommendations for Action Report was published in 2021. It includes 81 policy recommendations from the Assembly's over 100 members. Click here to download the report.

The Assembly's website has all the information you need to understand what the Citizens’ Assembly on climate change is. It also contains links to presentations from witnesses who gave information during the assembly.

The Civic Charter on Climate

Building on Scotland’s first Climate Assembly, you can also add your voice to the call for Scotland to show genuine global leadership on climate justice.
